Turning Vulnerability Into Power: Moziah’s Journey with REZON8

When Moziah first walked through the doors at REZON8, he was looking for more than just a place to make music — he was searching for space to heal, to grow, and to be heard. Today, he stands not only as an artist but as a co-producer, working alongside young people to help them navigate the same journey he once travelled.

Reflecting on his early days, Moziah spoke candidly about the challenges he faced: struggling with confidence, managing personal emotions, and finding an outlet for expression. Through REZON8’s unique peer-led approach, he found an environment where creative exploration and personal growth went hand in hand.

"I could just be myself here”

“It wasn’t just about making tracks. It was about learning how to express what’s really going on inside, and that’s something I didn’t have anywhere else."

One pivotal moment in Moziah’s journey was his first-ever live performance — a milestone that could have easily been overwhelming without the right support. Moziah recalled how Kieron, Director of REZON8, personally encouraged and supported him through that first show.

"I was nervous, overthinking everything, but Kieron was right there, giving me the push I needed. He believed in me before I even believed in myself. That made all the difference."

From those first small performances, Moziah’s confidence grew, eventually leading him to one of the world’s biggest stages. In 2024, he not only performed but also hosted for REZON8 at Glastonbury Festival, representing REZON8 and showcasing the authenticity and resilience that the project stands for.

"Performing at Glastonbury was surreal,"

"It showed me how far I’d come, from struggling to even step on a stage, to helping lead a crowd at one of the biggest festivals in the world."

Music remains at the heart of Moziah’s journey. His track "3 Loves," written during his time with REZON8, captures his growth both as an artist and as a person. The song explores themes of love, self-worth, and healing. It stands as a testament to what REZON8 encourages: creating music that is raw, real, and rooted in lived experience.

"‘3 Loves’ was me being real with myself.”

"I wouldn’t have had the confidence to make that kind of song without REZON8 showing me it was okay to be vulnerable."

Now, as a co-producer, Moziah helps other young people walk their own paths — offering mentorship, creative guidance, and, most importantly, genuine understanding.

"I’m not here to tell people what to do"

"I’m here to listen, to guide when needed, and to help them realise they already have a voice. It’s just about giving them the tools to use it."

Moziah’s story is not an exception — it is the blueprint for what REZON8 is building: a cycle of empowerment, where young artists not only find healing through music but also become leaders in their own right.

"REZON8 isn’t just a place where you come to make music, it’s where you come to find yourself."
